Little Flower

In a dream,
I am a little flower,
blooming by the roadside where you pass by—
your gently swaying braids, your fluttering skirt.

When the wind blows,
my dandelion-like fluff
drifts down onto your soft shoulders—
your beautiful face, the subtle fragrance of your hair.

After waking from the dream,
I remain alone,
seemingly within arm’s reach of you,
yet forever separated by heaven and earth…
